An epic week in the Red Sea

Once a year, Alpha Divers takes a group of loyal dive centre divers away for an epic week to ten days depending on location… this year we are going to Egypt for a full week of liveaboard diving in the Red Sea. It’s the trip our regulars look forward to all year – North and South Red Sea, all the classic sites, plus a few hidden extras we’ve found over the years. It is our own route, super special.

The boat: Martina Explorer

We’re aboard the Martina Explorer – a 42 metre steel-hulled liveaboard, built in 2022.

She’s modern, spacious, and fully checked to the high standard we insist on for every trip we run.

The diving

Expect a minimum of 3 dives a day – usually 4, sometimes 5. We cover both the North and South Red Sea, taking in all the favourites along the way so there’s a lot of mileage covered in the Red.

Both Recreational and Technical divers are welcome. Our Technical divers are led by Chris Martin and Paul Firth.

Recreational divers dive with the rest of the Alpha Divers team and experienced local guides.

Yes we will be taking our expedition booster as always, logistics is awesome as always and an epic time will be had by all.

Dates & getting there

The trip runs from 28th November to 5th December 2026 – one full week aboard.

We’d recommend arriving in Hurghada on the 27th, first night is in a hotel, this year we have chosen the Hurghada Marriott. Getting there a day early means paperwork is done early that night, so we can leave the marina by 1400hrs on the 28th – and it usually means an extra couple of dives which is a bonus.

We are all so looking forward to this trip as all participants have been invited and are known, there are no social hand grenades on any Alpha Divers trips away.

Price & what’s included

€1,250 per person – includes all dives, food, soft drinks, and Nitrox throughout the trip.

A limited number of single cabins are available for €2,250 – these go quickly, so let us know early if you’d like one.

Not included: Marine park fees, crew & boat staff tips (budget around €300 for both). Also extras such as larger tanks, twins, stages are chargeable and payable prior to departure.

Anyone who requires an extra specialty rating such as Nitrox or Deep pays for the PADI materials but we do not charge the course.

How to book your place

A €500 deposit secures your place on the trip, the remainder is fully paid prior to departure before the end of September 2026.
